15 Severely Underrated Xbox 360 Games That Deserve A Second Chance

13. Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions

The first of Beenox's Spider-Man games is indisputably their strongest, but it should come as no surprise to anyone that it was met with a markedly mediocre reaction - one that was unappreciative of the lengths the title went to go to reinvigorate the wall-crawler on the then next-gen. Without a doubt the most unique Spidey title yet, Shattered Dimensions gave players the chance to take on the roles of four different Spider-Men, each in their own reality. All were voiced by fan-favourite voice actors from the web slinger's past, and each had their own unique gameplay style to boot. Spider-Man 'Noir' took on stealth traits in the Marvel reimagining of 1930s New York, the Spider-Man of the Ultimate universe took on a hack and slash approach with the symbiote, and the Spidey's of 2099 and the Amazing Universe took acrobatics to a whole new level entirely. Sure the wall-crawling sucked and it was a shame not being able to traverse the Big Apple again, but the sheer uniqueness of the different art styles coupled with the fast and fluid gameplay makes this a title you'll regret you dismissed so early. Shattered Dimensions may not be as refined or as deep as the Arkham franchise, but its clunkiness is easily countered by a great variety in gameplay and an engrossing story - one that drew all of the best bits of the Spidey mythos and put it all under one roof.
