15 Video Games That Every True Gamer Should Have Completed
3. Chrono Trigger
I was late to the Chrono party. I only experienced this one in recent years, having somehow avoided playing it for around the first 20 years of my life. Thankfully Chrono has more than stood the test of time; despite being a SNES-era RPG, this one is still unique, engaging and is now one of my favourite games of all time despite the fact I played it relatively recently. One of the most intriguing things about Chrono Trigger is its focus on time travel. This gives the gamer the ability to jump between different time zones throughout the game, experiencing a massive world at different stages of its life. The game is also one of the earliest examples of making decisions in gaming; depending on the actions you take, a multitude of different endings can be experienced, giving this game replay value. Chrono's characters are also a great bunch ranging from a robot from the future to an archaic frog knight. Their development and bonding are central to the plot and it's all executed extremely well. I honestly believe any gamer would love Chrono. It's impossible not to love the unique real-time battle system, the world you'll visit and the soundtrack is absolutely to die for.
