Another long awaited re-release this year came in the form of the Metal Gear Solid Legacy Collection. This allowed veterans and fans alike to replay all the great games in the series. Metal Gear 2 is arguably the weirdest entry to the series and the choice to have Raiden as main character over Snake is one that fans were highly critical of. But that's not the worst character in MGS2. That honor is reserved for the one given the lazy moniker of Fatman, an expert in bomb making who is also seemingly an expert in cake making. Fatman was one of the members of Dead Cell who tried to take over the Big Shell facility. Supposedly he is named after the atomic bomb used on Nagasaki in World War 2 but handily he is also a very fat man. Raiden meets the Fatman to find that he is not only a vicious bomb expert... he's also on roller skates.... And loves manicures. Fatman showing up on roller skates is ridiculous and it plays that way too. The pre fight cut scene has him rolling around in the shadows shouting cryptic messages at you as Raiden nervously readies his pistol and shouts back at him in his girly voice. Then he slides right up to you like the bully from a Mighty Ducks movie and somehow pulls a cocktail glass out of his coat seemingly just so he can say the line, "The partys about to start." You then have to fight him but he spends most of the time skating around like an idiot planting bombs for you to deactivate. You know, instead of just trying to kill you directly. After defeating him, he reveals that there is one last big bomb and he's hid it somewhere nearby but won't tell you where. Turns out it's just under his big fat ass. Not a patch on his Dead Cell mates, Fatman is a weird uninspired boss with no real interesting story apart from I LIKE BLOWING THINGS UP!
