16 Biggest Video Game Plot Twists Of The Decade (So Far)
3. There Was Always More Than One Joker - Batman: Arkham City
Rocksteady have clearly been watching some Christopher Nolan flicks, as although the Clown Prince's death was included as one of the Best Moments Of The Decade (So Far), Arkham City featured him far less as the over-animated, maniacally laughing psychopath, and more a sputtering near-death husk of a man that occasionally still appeared to be in the best of spirits. It was all a ruse of course, meant to get you questioning how at one moment he could look completely fine and the next be back to coughing his guts up. The answer? More than one Joker, with the second being played by Clayface, seemingly just for the sake of it. The reveal is handled brilliantly, flashing up images of the more incapacitated Joker just as his monologue is mentioning hiding something "Right under nose." Batman realises at the exact moment you do just what's been going on, and from there on in it's a boss battle for the ages, followed by one of the most pivotal moments in Batman history if Rocksteady stick to leaving Joker dead throughout all of Arkham Knight. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6W27Zkh9lng#t=436
