16 Laziest And Ill-Conceived Pokémon Ever

8. Nosepass & Probopass - Gen III/IV

For many, Nosepass may be the first indication that the Pokémon franchise was losing its mind. A stubby legged rock with a huge nose€”that's all it is. It looks so ridiculous that it's almost unbearable. But Nosepass does have a purpose, it is a compass. For some reason the Pokémon creators saw huge nostrils as a representation of which direction things point. All-in-all, Nosepass is definitely a miss as it displays a sense of immaturity that is lower than the usual 10 year-old target demographic for Pokémon. Yet, the franchise felt it was necessary to bring back this absurd design and crank it up a notch in the very next generation. Probopass was introduced as a bigger, bulkier version of Nosepass with the addition of a gigantic mustache making the Pokémon resemble Super Mario. At this point the Pokémon was just laughable. There was no serious redeeming value of a Pokémon as ludicrous as Probopass. Gaudy and too comical for its own good, Probopass was the dirty icing on the cake that just leaves a bad taste in your mouth.
