16 Severely Underrated Video Games That Deserve A Second Chance

14. Binary Domain

Every now and then you come across a game that has a story so brilliant, it can paper over whatever standard gaming formula the developers have leaned on to tell it. Enter Binary Domain, and the most basic third-person shooter template money can buy - alongside a great tale centred around a future where androids have become so lifelike they're indistinguishable from humans - as well as not knowing they're robots in the first place. Don't worry, that's not too much of a spoiler, it's merely the hook thrown up your way following the opening few scenes, providing a solid foundation for many twists and turns along the way for who's flesh n' blood and who's not. Alongside all this commentary on what life can mean to those unaware of how they obtained it is that standard gameplay mould mentioned before, but being this comes from the developers of the spectacular Yakuza series, it's packed with lovably memorable characters, westernised dialogue that's a love-letter to action cinema and a core feel to combat that's aways enough to power you through to the next cutscene.
