16 Severely Underrated Video Games That Deserve A Second Chance
13. Shadows Of The Damned
If you took one look at Resident Evil 4 and thought "Y'know, what this is missing is a talking skull and a variety of laser-pointed weapons", Shadows of the Damned has you covered in demonic spades. Developed by Lollipop Chainsaw-chaps Grasshopper Manufacture it was almost a complete and utter flop, despite a totally bonkers story starring one Garcia Hotspur and his quest to find his girlfriend who's been taken captive by an evil demon called Fleming. That's pretty much all you should know going into what's now a very cheap budgetary shooter stuffed to the brim with character and penis jokes, and when you factor in there's a talking skull (called Johnson), a grindhouse aesthetic that's pretty reminiscent of style-over-substance shooter Wet and a shotgun kick that puts Resi to shame, this throwback to over-shoulder blasters is the best money can by this side of The Evil Within.
