17 Classic Video Games That Must Be Remade

10. F-Zero X

F Zero X
Nintendo

Original Release Date: July 14, 1998

The F-Zero franchise as a whole has been long overdue a revival, and where better to start than with a remake of F-Zero X, the much loved futuristic N64 racer?

Considering that the game's graphics were criticised even upon release, it'd be great to see the otherwise classic title get a makeover, while retaining the breakneck pace and brutal difficulty that made it such a hit in the first place.

How Likely Is It?: With the WipEout Omega Collection topping the UK sales charts recently, it's clear that there's certainly a market for these left-field racing games, and an F-Zero X remake released for Nintendo Switch would have incredible multiplayer potential.

However, Nintendo has so often proven themselves averse to actually making money or doing what conventional business logic dictates, so they probably won't bother. At least the Switch does have Fast RMX, which is basically a spiritual successor to F-Zero anyway...
