18 Best PS4 Games You're Not Playing

8. Pyre

Pyre Liberation
Supergiant Games

Supergiant Games are one of those unbelievably talented studios that are currently only getting better with age. So far they've only got three games to their name (Bastion, Transistor and now this), but Pyre represents all the lessons learned from 2011 and 2014's respective releases, resulting in a world where a basketball-esque sport called a Rite is played to grant convicts their freedom.

Thematically there's far more going on with the ragtag bunch of followers you accrue in your time, as being the only "Reader" who can decipher text, you collectively delve into ruminations on justice, morality, purpose and social insurrection.

Certainly a very deep game where writer Greg Kasavin has relished the opportunity to create a Mass Effect Codex-sized glossary of terms and definitions, when you're sizing up a shot and knowing your in-game best friend might leave you forever, it's one HELL of a sensation no other game comes close to.
