Another one for the originality pile, Absolver might look like "Dark Souls without the weapons", but it handles far more meticulously.

Predicated entirely on managing the hitboxes of your punches and kicks through a "Combat Deck", each move in your evolving combo string will start and leave you in one of four directional stances. From here you can choose what connects to what, creating custom combos or never-ending kick chains if you're looking to do some real damage.

Learning new moves means having to defend against them in the main game, and being Absolver's world is packed full of players all teaming up or fighting to get better, it creates a martial arts dojo mentality that shows off some of 2017's coolest ideas.
