2. Emily Rose Wasn't The First Choice For Elena Fisher

It’s hard to imagine anyone but Emily Rose playing the "tougher than she looks" reporter Elena Fisher, Nathan Drake’s on again-off again romantic interest. Her performance fits the character perfectly, and one of the best elements of the series is seeing her and Drake’s relationship develop alongside all the action and adventure.

All this makes the fact that Rose was initially rejected for the part all the more shocking. At first it was thought that she didn’t fit the character. However, she was still brought in to line read with other auditions, and when reading with Nolan North, creative director Amy Hennig was impressed by Rose’s performance, along with the chemistry between her and North.

She was then cast as Elena Fisher right there, and has remained with the series since.
