If you were a child of the 1990s you most likely had a SEGA or Nintendo console - maybe both if you were lucky. SEGA kids were often told that the SNES was better because its games had better graphics and, well, Nintendo was better at making games than SEGA. That’s a debate that will roll on for eternity. Pick a side and stick with it forever!

What isn’t up for discussion is how awesome the SEGA sound is when its consoles boot up. While the Master System’s jingle is neat it wasn’t until the Mega Drive that things really entered classic territory. With a voice sample, the word “SEGA” sung along to the most simple of tunes will go to the grave with most Mega Drive owners.
