18 New Video Games Coming In 2015 You Need To Know About

17. Scalebound

Bayonetta and Metal Gear Rising developers Platinum Games aren't ones for subtlety - just look at the church-throwing bosses of the former or the skyscraper-sized mechs of the latter for confirmation - and even on next-gen hardware they're gearing up to deliver more ridiculously enjoyable set-pieces than what they've managed so far. And if you've played Bayonetta 2, you'll know the bar is set way up high. Scalebound puts you in the shoes of a Devil May Cry's Dante-esque looking adventurer running amuck in a world filled in dinosaurs. By the looks of the concept trailer you're free to take all sorts of beasties down in a blur of blades and (probably) one-liners, but the developers have noted that with the fantasy genre comes a much wider audience than ever before, and their new combat engine will reflect this. Whether that means a more easier game overall or a reliance on quick-time events is anybody's guess, but as the only third-person brawler worth a shout last year was Bayonetta herself, it's about time more titles like this started filling out the coming year. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kj_35D3RBqA
