20 Awesome PS4 Exclusives You Need To Play Before PS5

Aka the reason why everybody was shouting BOY at each other for months on end.

God of War on PS4 is an absolute landmark title for gaming. Not only is it a superb game from start to finish, it's also an example of how to take a beloved IP and modernise it, creating an even better game than the ones that came before it.

Ditching his Greek heritage for the lands of the Norse gods and now sporting an excellent beard, Kratos finds himself tasked with protecting his son on a journey to scatter his wife's' ashes in a different realm. From the start of the game, you're with Kratos; God of War uses a revolutionary single-camera system throughout, constantly staying with Kratos and never cutting away. It's incredible stuff, and with a more weighty, character-driven story than previous titles, this camera technique only further adds to the experience.

Kratos also has a brand new weapon: the Leviathan axe. This brutal weapon is so cool to use, particularly when you throw it directly into an enemies' face before calling it back to your hand instantly, Thor's hammer style.

It's almost a given that developers Santa Monica are hard at work on the sequel to this highly successful title for the PS5, and I can't wait to see it.
