11. F-Zero GX
NintendoTo many gamers, F-Zero is
the definitive racing game. While Mario Kart is a lot of fun, and sim games like Gran Turismo and Forza have their fans, there are few games that rival F-Zero when it comes to pure speed. F-Zero started life on the SNES, but to many F-Zero GX is the pinnacle of the series. Featuring graphics that pushed the Gamecube close to its limit and a great collection of ships and characters for players to choose from, this was undoubtedly the best racing game on the console. F-Zero GX wasn't an easy game, and forced players to spend time memorising and perfecting every corner of every track if you wanted to get around them at high speeds. Featuring a character-based story mode as well as some of the best multiplayer on the system, it really was the complete package and still to this day one of the greatest Nintendo games ever released. A brilliant retro Gamecube title and still a great racer today. Track down a copy and relive those adrenaline-filled memories.
