16. Pokémon Colosseum
NintendoEver since Pokemon Red and Blue exploded into the mainstream, Poke-fans had been dreaming of a 3D home console entry in the series. After the N64's Pokemon Stadium and its camera-ém up Pokemon Snap spin off, Nintendo finally decided to bring a fully fledged Pokemon RPG to consoles - and that game was Pokemon Colosseum. Featuring an interesting story, the game saw you filling the boots of a trainer trying to rescue Pokemon that had become corrupt, and the gameplay revolved around stealing back these Shadow versions. The game's darker narrative themes and more grown-up looking world resulted in a stark departure to what players had come to expect from the Pokemon universe, yet Colosseum was a great RPG in its own right. To Gamecube owners looking to take their Pokemon adventures to a darker place with an added dimension, this game really was a dream come true.
