15. Soulcalibur II
NamcoUnsurprisingly, this isn't the only game on the list that allows you to beat the crap out of your friends with Link, but to many serious fighter fans - this is the better bet. Namco's Soulcalibur series offers arguably the greatest weapon based fighter experience in gaming, and while the series started on Playstation, the Gamecube exclusive's inclusion of Link makes this version the definitive one. While for many hardcore Nintendo fans, seeing Link battle in a realistic setting was probably enough to justify the purchase, but Soulcalibur II is a genuinely great game in its own right. Its roster is filled to the brim with memorable characters, and some rather memorable portrayals of females within the physics engine too. Link's appearance and the sexified take on female characters aside, this is still the best serious fighter on the Cube and remains a joy to play to this day.
