20 Best Hidden Gaming Gems Of 2015

4. Game Of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series

Telltale's recent output has been a bit of a mixed bag, but aside from the graphical hiccups that forever plague the game engine they insist on rolling out across every title, Game of Thrones actually managed to harness the harsh reality of the TV show, before injecting its own side story into the mix. Such a setup has you play as House Forrester in amongst the more standard family-stabbings that make up the close of the third and fourth seasons. You'll start out just on the cusp of the cataclysmic Red Wedding, to which the ripples of Lord Frey's betrayal echo across the land, seeing you paying the price as the rival family Whitehill attempt to take what's yours. You'll conspire and befriend Tyrion Lannister, argue with Cersei in the throne room and even get to hang with Jon Snow and Khaleesi. It's a total fan's paradise, and although the appeal does lie somewhat in how much you enjoy the show, Telltale weave a fun and very intense story regardless that it should please you no matter what.
