Every video game console has a mascot; Nintendo has Mario, Xbox has/had Master Chief and so on. In 2008, Sony literally invented a mascot for the PS3 in the form of Sackboy and gave him his own video game, Little Big Planet. As lovable as Mario and with a personally to boot, Sackboy was welcomed by legions of Playstation fans the world over, due largely in part to the success of Little Big Planet.

LBP is first of its kind; it is a game that gives the player the freedom to create. You can dress Sackboy in whatever garbs you want, from cowboy hats to superhero costumes, and play with him in the award-winning single player mode or online in player-created levels.

The amount of customizable options available for players to create their own personal levels and show them off to the online community is staggering. Want to make a Pirates of the Caribbean level? Check. Want to make a horror based level with flying bats and crazed zombies? Sure, go ahead. The possibilities are infinite, and you never get bored of going online and seeing what new levels players have created out of thin air.
