9. Star Wars Battlefront 2 (2005)
Before the EA Battlefront games, there were the originals made by Lucasarts and Pandemic Studios.
The Battlefront games encompass battles between the four main forces of both the original and prequel trilogies. The battles took place across multiple planets as featured in the films with numerous vehicles and each faction had their own hero, Jedi or Sith, to aid them in combat.
The first Battlefront game was a major success, and when the fans wanted more of the same, Battlefront 2 did not disappoint. New vehicles, characters, maps and game mechanics helped Battlefront 2 surpass its predecessor in every way.
The highlights of the game was its campaign and Galactic Conquest mode. The campaigns story was narrated through a veteran trooper who fought in the early battles of the Clone Wars and as a stormtrooper in service of the Empire. The improved Galactic Conquest mode allowed players to manage their own fleet throughout the galaxy as they aim to conquer enemy planets while defending their own.
There have been many Star Wars games over the years, but there are few that are remembered as fondly as the original Battlefront 2.
