The game everyone has been waiting years to see, Cyberpunk 2077 announced its presence at E3 in a ridiculously exciting way. Coming at the end of Microsoft's conference, the lights went down and the title took over the stage, with a trailer offering the first real look at the game (outside of a teaser which came out long before the Witcher 3 in 2015) and establishing yet another rich world from the developers at CD Projekt RED.

Gameplay is still a mystery, though a behind-closed-doors demo did confirm that the title will have first-person shooter elements, alongside expanded character customisation and a focus on player choice and consequence. Likewise, the car which was prominently featured in the trailer was confirmed to be drivable, with vehicular combat being a part of the RPG experience.

Any other year, this reveal would have easily cleaned up the Game of the Show awards and cemented Microsoft's conference as the king of the weekend, but this wasn't just your regular old E3...
