While Sony's conference wasn't anywhere near as packed with huge third-party world premieres as Microsoft's, the few that it did have at least weren't leaked in the weeks leading up to the event. First on the docket was the new time-bending third-person shooter from Remedy, returning to the multi-platform realm after spending the last decade cosying up with Microsoft.

Titled "Control", the reveal trailer focused primarily on the array of supernatural time powers players will have at their disposal. Although it was only a quick glimpse, it still had Remedy's fingerprints all over it, continuing their preoccupation with time manipulation that's shown up in previous titles like Max Payne, Alan Wake and Quantum Break.

Unfortunately, it was the latter release which Control most closely resembled. In fact, for all fans know the game could be set in that same universe, not an entirely out-there theory considering just how similar the powers protagonist Jesse Faden wields are to those present in Quantum Break.

Either way, it's great to see Remedy back on all consoles, pursuing the kind of game they're so adept at creating.
