Yup, for as much as it looks like this could be rendered on a particularly thick piece of cheese, Minit is a perfectly paced, intricately designed, genious-ly conceptualised gem.

Playing as a no-named hero who plucks a time-bending sword out the ground, Minit wants you to complete quests and explore the world in 60 second intervals. Such a Majora's Mask-like setup might sound incredibly restrictive, but the real wonderment comes from realising how smartly a good dev team can weave hack-slash gameplay, quests, world-building and meaningful unlockables into bite-size chunks.

Quickly you'll realise how to carry things across from one "life" to the next, slowly expanding your reach, unlocking distant save points, dedicating a run to killing X amount of creatures or felling a boss.

Minit is created by an all-star team involving people who also worked on Horizon Zero Dawn and Luftrausers, being published by Devolver Digital, all making for an indie powerhouse topped off by a luscious chiptune soundtrack.
