Yes, the original changed the face of shooters in a rather similar vein to how GoldenEye brought local multiplayer gaming to consoles, but it was Halo's third instalment that truly brought everything full circle.

Carrying on with such innovations as regenerating health, one button grenade throws (the likes of Killzone still made you switch to them), seamless vehicular integration and a graphical punch that was just jaw-dropping, Halo 3 was Bungie operating on another level from the competition.
