1. Mass Effect 3's Ending
Wonder why you're barely hearing anything when it comes to Mass Effect 4 - which is now called 'Mass Effect: Andromeda'? It's simply down to EA meddling in Bioware's schedule so much they forced them to throw out an unfinished game, the results being catastrophic as the game's ending felt stupidly phoned in, just for the sake of wrapping things up in a shocking-yet-memorable way. To summarise, at the close of the story you'd spend the preceding 60-plus hours amassing a gigantic multi-racial army hellbent on taking down the galaxy-enslaving Reapers. We were expecting Turian cannons to rip through their armour, Quarian tech to dismantle them from afar, entire waves of hulking Krogans charging head-on into the fray, and so on. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y5ebN1dW9CA But what did we get? A small A.I. hologram-boy explaining we were all part of a cycle, and to
literally choose an ending from a menu - all without asking any questions. It was cheap, it was terrible,
it was even unintended - and until the Extended Cut arrived and gave us some motion comic cutscenes to at least to fix gaping wounds by hurling bandaids at them, stuck out as the biggest narrative travesty since Raiden replaced Snake in Metal Gear Solid 2.
