2. Kadabra Was Once A Human Boy With Creepy Powers

At the top of our list of terrifying origin stories comes the tale of Kadabra; the Psychic Type Pokémon that apparently wasn't always a Pokémon. In just one Pokédex entry, the developers offer us the story that this Pokémon actually started its life as a human boy.

In the Pokémon Fire Red dex, we're told "it happened one morning - a boy with extrasensory powers awoke in bed transformed into Kadabra." As if falling asleep with crazy ESP powers wouldn't be bad enough, imagine waking up the next day as that weird, lumpy-looking thing!

The fact that this Pokémon apparently used to be a human reminds us of our earlier entry about Bill and the fact that he was able to temporarily turn himself into a Pokémon as well. If these things can occur in the world, could any human transform into a Pokémon under the right circumstances?
