Syndicate was another game which Amiga owners of the world had never seen the likes of. Designers Bullfrogs real-time, isometric, tactical shooter, charged you with the task of having your syndicate take control of each of the worlds 50 territories - which you could then tax so highly that the people would rebel against your tyrannical rule. With assassination missions, being able to kill civilians without consequence, and a weapon called The persuadertron, this was one of the best morally dubious games that had been released up to that point. Researching the cybernetic enhancements to modify your agents into ultimate killing machines was great fun, but the best thing about Syndicate was The Gauss Gun, a portable rocket launcher which could cause enormous destruction.
Lover of all things PC. A fan of inserting indelible ink into the dermis layer of the skin. Remembers when 'geek' was an insult. Still passionately believes Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines was the greatest game ever made.
