20 Greatest Shooters Ever Made

19. S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow Of Chernobyl

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl isn't just incredibly annoying to type, it's also one of the best post-apocalyptic survival horrors ever made. Taking place in an alternate universe in which the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant Exclusion Zone undergoes a second nuclear disaster, the game offers a terrifyingly bleak journey. Taking place in a fully open world environment, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl (thank you copy and paste) pits the player against ruthless bandits and twisted, mutated creatures. Event the environment is against you, filled with pockets of deadly radiation that can easily kill off careless players. S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl managed the difficult task of making the player feel like they were navigating a real, dangerous environment, while offering up a multitude of gameplay options that allowed for an array of playstyles.
