Year: 2003 Platform: PlayStation 2, Microsoft Windows, Xbox, GameCube Beyond Good & Evil is far, far more than just an attempt by Ubisoft to cash in on the success of titles like Jak & Daxter and Ratchet & Clank. Critically acclaimed, shortlisted for several 'Game of the Year' awards and widely considered one of the greatest action-adventure games ever made, Beyond Good & Evil is a true masterpiece. There was just one problem. No-one bought it. Thanks to what Official U.S. PlayStation Magazine called an "over-saturated market", sales of Beyond Good & Evil were beyond disappointing. The game's gritty setting, beautiful visual style and hugely varied gameplay have earned it the status of cult classic, and Ubisoft had the good sense to release a remastered HD version in 2011 on the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network.
