20 Greatest Zombie Games Ever

7. Plants Vs. Zombies

Developer: PopCap Games Released: 2009 Platform: Just about everything Even PopCap probably didn't realise what an impact Plants vs. Zombies would have after its release half a decade ago. The tower defense game, as the title suggests, pits zombies against plants, in one of the most impressively accessible and addictive tower defense games of all time. If you're one of the three or so people that have never played Plants vs. Zombies, here's a rundown. You're a simple homeowner, whose house is under assault from zombie hordes. Naturally, in order to defend against these undead marauders, you must plant a variety of multicellular eukaryotes in your front garden, each with a special ability. Every single zombie and plant positively bursts with personality thanks to the quirky design and bold artwork. It's devastatingly easy to get into, offers a decent amount of challenge, and is stupidly hard to put down.
