Developer: Lucasarts Released: 1993 Platform: Genesis, SNES One of the earliest games to feature zombies as the main theme, Zombies Ate My Neighbors is a cartoony survival romp through suburbia. Tame enough to be considered a children's game by today's standards, Zombies Ate My Neighbors was actually somewhat controversial at the time, and had to be changed several times before it was cleared by many country's classification boards. Zombies Ate My Neighbours is a run and gun title, in which the player has to rescue their neighbours from a variety of monsters - chiefly, the zombies. It's fast, funny and can be very difficult at times. Even those with no interest in the gameplay should check it out thanks to the array of hilarious parodies and homages to various horror B-movies. Zombies Ate My Neighbours has aged extremely well, despite being over two decades old, and it's well worth trying to get your hands on a copy if you can.
