20 Greatest Zombie Games Ever

13. Call Of Duty: World At War

Developer: Treyarch Released: 2008 Platform: PC, Playstation 3, Xbox 360 What was supposed to be a fun distraction from the main campaign and multiplayer ended up being the thing that Call of Duty: World at War is best remembered for. The Nazi Zombies mode puts up to four players together in a ramshackle house, as an endless horde of the undead attempts to break in. The gameplay required more than just the usual Call of Duty twitchy gameplay, and players had to make hard decisions on when to expend precious ammo, which windows to board up, and which areas of the house to unlock. Despite being fairly simple in its premise, Nazi Zombies was tense, often terrifying, and incredibly replayable. The mode was later featured in later games in the franchise, with bigger levels and hidden secrets, but World at War's offering was the purest zombie survival experience.
