Kratos and his boy will finally continue (and possibly conclude) their adventure in 2022!

The final game from last year's list to also appear on this one, God of War: Ragnarok's delay was arguably the most painful of the lot. The 2018 reboot was one of the previous decade's greatest games, and news of the sequel's delay sorely tempted our inner brat to burst out and whine "But I wanna play it nooooooow!"

The gameplay trailer released in September did nothing to quell our ardour, as clips of Kratos and Atreus exploring new lands, fighting new monsters and getting into new arguments simply reminded us how great the first game was, and how much we want to play the sequel.

Whether it's played on the PS5 or PS4, God of War Ragnarok will likely be topping many a game of the year list by the time 2022 wraps up.
