20 Most Anticipated Video Games Of 2022

4. Dying Light 2

Breath of the Wild 2
Techland

Platforms: PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and Series S, Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch

Nearly four years after it was first announced, the sequel to Techland's zombie-bashing parkour-'em'up will finally launch in 2022.

Previews for Dying Light 2 have been mostly positive, and share the same overall message: Techland have used the seven-year gap between the original Dying Light and its sequel wisely.

That means a greater focus on the parkour and melee combat that made the original feel special, alongside a much more interesting environment for players to bounce around in. The developers are also promising a player-centric, branching story and a far more involved storyline than the original, and early signs indicate they just might pull it off.

There's a reason Dying Light has kept a steady player count in the seven years since its release, and if Techland manage to build on its foundation then Dying Light 2 could easily keep us entertained until the next decade rolls round.
