2. Bayonetta 3

Platinum Games finally broke their four-year silence over Bayonetta 3 in the latest Nintendo Direct, and the results are everything we hoped for.
The two minute trailer (not counting the cinematic preamble) packed a lot into its short runtime. Bayonetta's trademark Witch Time is back, as are the OTT climax maneuvers that see gaming's favourite witch stomp on enemies with giant stiletto heels and entomb them in Iron Maidens. Giant monster vs. monster boss fights make their return from Bayonetta 2, and Bayonetta can now send demons to fight on her behalf à la V from Devil May Cry V.
The first Bayonetta was the greatest spectacle fighter of all time, and not just because of the heroine's fancy frames. The second actually surpassed it, but didn't get anywhere near the credit it deserved because it came out on the doomed Wii U. Given that trajectory, it looks like Switch owners will be enjoying 2022's greatest action game when Bayonetta makes her long-awaited return.
So that's Triangle Strategy, Pokémon Legends, Mario + Rabbids 2, Hollow Knight: Silksong, Breath of the Wild 2 and Bayonetta 3 Switch owners have to look forward to. That's quite a line-up, but we're not done yet...
