20 Most Anticipated Video Games Still Coming In 2017
7. Yakuza Kiwami
Release Date: 29th August
A remake of the 2006 original, Yakuza Kiwami takes that landmark release and applies all the lessons learned from the sequels of the last decade.
First and foremost, the aesthetic has been overhauled to bring it up to speed with Yakuza 5, but combat sees the biggest shakeup, as while the bone-breaking arcade brawling remains, you now have access to multiple fighting styles, a la prequel, Yakuza 0.
Best of all, this first Yakuza's story is one of the best, introducing all the major players for the rest of the games, and also involving all sorts of plot twists, whodunit murder conspiracies and that loveably quirky Japanese tone.
There's everything from minigames to braining thugs with shop signs, and if you missed getting on board back in the day, now's the time to do it.
