God bless Peter Molyneux, because at his core, deep down, he wants nothing more than to give gamers the best experiences possible. Unfortunately for him however, he always seems to promise just a little too much, with literally every single game he's ever been a part of.

For those that don't know, Molyneux has been in the gaming industry for over 30 years. Most notably he is known for the Fable franchise, and all the features he said would be present that weren't. The most infamous of those has to be that you could watch an acorn fall from a tree and then slowly start to watch another tree grow in that exact spot, over time. This is just one of the many features that were ultimately left out.

It doesn't end with Fable, just recently Molyneux has been over promising and over hyping his most recent game, Godus. Back in 2012 with new studio 22Cans, the Kickstarter for the game earned around $800,000 and promised multiplayer for PC, Mac, mobile and Linux versions. To date, multiplayer is still not present and a Linux version is unavailable. The Kickstarter also promised the release to be fully independent, only for 22Cans to pair up with a mobile publisher and institute microtransactions.

Today fans have been asking for refunds as most are afraid Molyneux has pulled out of the project, due to a shrinking staff, despite not delivering on most of the promises - shocking.

There's one thing that's for certain: Whenever a game flops, whenever someone puts way too much hype into their game they will always be compared to Molyneux. It's a legacy that will follow him forever, no matter how many good games he has or will be responsible for.

His legacy will always be that of a hype man who just couldn't back it up.
