It's sad, but it's getting to a point where gamers can no longer trust a single gameplay video that comes out before the release of a game. So many games have shown brilliant graphics in reveals, only for them to be drastically downgraded upon release - and it's been happening for years.

First, we can look at one of the biggest games to ever release on the Xbox - Halo 2. At E3, it was looking like it was going to blow its predecessor out of the water graphics wise, and that all changed come release. It looked just a step above the first, yet would still go on to be one of the best-selling games.

Then ther was Killzone 2, which admittedly was not a graphical downgrade so much, but had one of the most misleading trailers of all time. Fans were led to believe the trailer showed actual gameplay but was nothing more than CGI.

Lastly, we move onto Ubisoft as a whole. Even though Watch Dogs may get the most attention for graphical downgrades, and rightfully so, it's not the only culprit. Over the years multiple Ubisoft games have been downgraded come release. Those games include Watch Dogs, Rainbow Six: Siege, Far Cry 3, Far Cry 4 and The Division. Someone even made a 15-minute video going over all of it.

All this has led many gamers to take every single gameplay trailer that comes out with a grain/tablespoon of salt.
