20 Most Replayable Video Game Moments Of The 2000s

5. TimeSplitters 2 (2002) - Virus Last Stand On Ice Station

The latter TimeSplitters games were the absolute pinnacle of split-screen multiplayer gaming - an experience that impressive but impersonal online shooters of today just can't match. TimeSplitters 2 and Future Perfect are more or less interchangeable, but the former has the edge thanks to the awesome Ice Station level. It's essentially a tower in the middle of a vast icy asteroid, and the perfect setting for a last stand in the Virus game mode - a kind of Family It games where you prevent the growing number of infected players from touching you by shooting them. At first, when there are just one or two bots infected, you can chance your luck outside the tower. But as the number of infected multiplies, you and up to three friends should stock up on proximity mines and head for the tower, where you'll make your last stand (putting no time limit on the match adds weight to the moment by making death inevitable, unless of course you choose to betray your buddy).
