20 Most Replayable Video Game Moments Of The 2000s

3. Demons' Souls (2009) - Manning Up To The Maneater

In a game filled with encounters that are among the most replayable gaming moments from its decade, it was an ordeal picking out the best one. The daunting Tower Knight fight early in the game was a contender, but there's little challenge for those returning to the game after a hiatus. Revisiting the Maneater, on the other hand, is still a formidable challenge, particularly if you've been playing the subsequent Souls games and want to remind yourself of just how different the original felt. While not the hardest boss in the game, the Maneater is a suspenseful duel on a narrow walkway, with a nasty little surprise awaiting you around half-way through. The setting - if you get a chance to absorb it while trying to stay alive - is spectacular too, with the hollowed-out towers and ominous platforms in the distance looking like something straight out of a Lovecraft story.
