14. Halo 5: Guardians
This entry essentially encompasses Halo's Reach, 4, The Master Chief Collection and Guardians, as there's been a good chunk released since 2010. If you've played any of the online modes since the series first went online back in either the original's PC release or Halo 2, you know what you're in for. That acrobatic sense of bounding around levels, connecting punches with the force of a shotgun blast, stealth kills occasionally getting the upper hand and a whole lot of teamwork making it all worthwhile, Halo is a staple of the FPS genre for a million worthwhile reasons. Guardians would inject some much-needed forward movement with the likes of a boost-slide, aerial ground-pound, charge attack and more, but thankfully 343 Industries knew exactly how to tick boxes for the fans of old, whilst moving forward with leaps and bounds not unlike the flow of gameplay itself.
