20 Most Underrated Pokémon In History
14. Noctowl
Noctowl may just seem like the standard bird Pokémon that bothers your wanderings in the grass early in each new game, but it's definitely so much more than that. In fact, despite not being a Psychic Type, it offers a great subset of moves to your team and even learns more Psychic Type moves by level up than it does Flying Type.
As a Flying/Normal type, Noctowl has just three type weaknesses to worry about in battle. Its solid HP stat gives it good battle longevity, and the combination of Hypnosis and Dream Eater is the type of double act that gives its opponents serious nightmares. You can also give your opponent's Pokémon actual nightmares if you choose to opt for Nightmare in its moveset as well.
You need a bit of luck with accuracy for some of the moves, but a Noctowl with the Keen Eye ability is at least guaranteed not to have its accuracy decreased at any stage, giving the strategy more than a fighting chance. Equip it with a Wide Lens to boost move accuracy by 10% and this suddenly becomes even more assured.
