13. Vaporeon

Before they were seen in virtually every single Gym in Pokémon Go, Vapoeron were one of the lesser spotted evolutionary forms of Eevee in the main series games. While many would opt for a sly Umbreon or feisty Jolteon instead, Vaporeon has more than enough to offer those who would otherwise shun it.

For a simple Water Type, Vaporeon has a surprisingly high HP stat at base levels. Less surprisingly, its Special Attack stat is its next best feature meaning its moves like Muddy Water and Hydro Pump will do maximum damage on an assault-based Vaporeon.

Its move Acid Armor is a worthy addition to a Vaporeon moveset, allowing the Pokémon to boost its otherwise struggling defence against physical attacks. Employing this move early enough could see your Vaporeon able to combine its excellent HP with great supporting defences, allowing you to unleash watery hell on your foes for a number of turns.
