20 Most Underrated Video Games Of The Generation (So Far)

7. Titanfall 2

Titanfall 2 had the odds stacked against it when it released last year. Not only was it coming off an Xbox One exclusive original game that came under fire for not releasing with enough content, but it was dropping between Battlefield 1 and CoD: Infinite Warfare, by far the two most anticipated shooters of the year.

Everyone except EA could see poor sales coming from a mile off, and even though Titanfall 2 was critically well received, it wasn't enough to stop it from being pushed out by those other two gigantic games.

Respawn Entertainment's sequel deserves your attention, as it's home to some of the most satisfying and addicting shooting mechanics this side of Destiny 2. With a focus on fast movement and quick reflexes, the title retained the great, twitchy feeling of Call of Duty while losing the repetitive, kill-die-repeat gameplay that the series suffers from.

Plus, this time around the sequel has a great single-player campaign to boot, building upon the lore that was established in the original release to create one of the most impressive recent solo FPS experiences not published by Bethesda.
