20 Problems Only FIFA Players Will Understand

13. When People Don't Skip Replays

Fifa tries to replicate real-life football as closely as possible, or to be more precise, a real-life television broadcast of a football match. Before each game, there is a variety of scenes which shows the teams walking out onto the pitch and preparing for the game with the usual formalities you see at most football games nowadays. It's all done with excruciating attention to detail. Why do we know this? Because every now and then, you get a player that wants to watch this incredibly long scene in full. On top of that, they refuse to skip every replay; even if nothing exciting happened at all. Are they trying to psyche us out or do they just want us to scream at the TV in painful agony? Either way, it works.

12. Every Player Is Either Overrated Or Underrated

You probably already know that EA assigns an Overall rating to every player in the game as a way for people to quickly compare players with each other. What you may not know though is that - in the community's opinion anyway - this number is almost always wrong. Admittedly, a lot of people judge this with hindsight. For example, Adnan Januzaj's breakout for Manchester United last season quickly made his 61 rating look pretty silly. On the flipside, people are always criticising David Silva's rating of 88. Vidic's 87 is also frowned upon, considering he's been injured for long stretches of time in recent memory. Outside of Ultimate Team, EA can amend and change players stats with weekly updates; in Ultimate Team, upgrades only happen once a year (aside from weekly in-forms), leaving people free to bash EA for not knowing anything all year round.

I have an addiction to achievements, a craving for new bands and a dream to become Captain America. I once finished second in a Mario Kart 7 tournament so I'm kind of a big deal.
