20 Reasons 2016's Biggest Video Games Might Suck

16. Call Of Duty 2016 Feels Like A Step Backwards

Release Date: TBA November The Hype: Practically nothing is known about the next CoD, except that it's going to be developed by Infinity Ward, and rumours point to it possibly being called Call of Duty: Bloodlines. Why It Might Suck: Infinity Ward really screwed the pooch with CoD's first current-gen offering, Ghosts, so it's possible that they've just lost their spark for the franchise, though with having three years to work on their latest title, there's the hope that it really can't be any worse than Ghosts. But what's really going to hurt the game is how surprisingly rammed with content last year's Black Ops III was: in addition to a longer campaign than usual, a huge multiplayer suite and zombies mode, the game featured a fully fleshed-out zombie campaign called Nightmares, adding even more value-for-money on top of the package. Though it's likely that Activision does co-ordinate between developers and share ideas, if Infinity Ward delivers anything less than the same amount of content, it's going to be easy to say that the game feels like a step back from the heights of BO3.
