20 Ridiculously Low Game Ratings You Won’t Believe

13. The Guided Fate Paradox: 74

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PL1K5BdI7XY A rouge-like dungeon crawling RPG made by the creators of the Disgaea franchise, with character designs by Nozoi Ito? Who wouldn€™t like that? The Guided Fate Paradox is a quirky game set in the Disgaea multiverse. The gameplay is very much like the old Mystery Dungeon games. You progress through a series of randomly generated dungeons, fighting enemies that grow stronger as you level up. Items break as you use them, also adding to difficulty. In TGFP, most of the armor and weapons can be repaired. Still, it's from a very fun genera of games that just hasn€™t really penetrated the west. The reviewers found that it had €œoutdated visuals€, repetitive gameplay, was too hard, and too easy. Which is sad, since I would have thought we would have come farther than whining about graphics in this day and age. Likewise, €œrepetitive gameplay€ is writers code for €œThis game doesn€™t interest me at all, but I have to play it and write something to get a paycheck€. Outdated visuals are a funny complaint, as I see it levied often at JRPG's throughout the list, yet popular western games like Undertale enjoy a score of 100 on the site, with people praising its bottom barrel graphics as "endearing". It's poor journalism at its worst.
