11. Jubileus (Bayonetta)
Platinum GamesPlatinum Games don't do things by halves; and Bayonetta's final boss battle is so insanely over-the-top that it will forever be etched into your memory once you've bested it. Jubileus is established as the game's final encounter early on, although it's unclear exactly who or what he/she is. It turns out that she's a deity who's revival will bring about the destruction of the universe... so surely everybody in the known universe has agreed to leave her dead and buried, right? Nope. Jublieus is revived thanks to Father Balder, and Bayonetta is used to help restore her power. Thankfully, Jeanne (Bayonetta's long-term rival) comes to the rescue and Bayonetta is freed, just in time for an awesome face off with Jubileus. Most of this battle takes place in outer space in a giant orange orb (yep, you read that right) before Bayonetta summons the power of Queen Sheba to force Jubileus into the sun where she burns up. Can you imagine anything more awesome? Seriously, can you imagine a more satisfying way to end a game? Here's a tense, tough fight which will end by your character powering up and launching a God
into the sun. Outstanding work, guys.
