10. Ganondorf (The Legend Of Zelda: Wind Waker)
NintendoSometimes the simplest of battles can be the most satisfying. Ganondorf is well known as the villain of the Legend Of Zelda series (having appeared in almost every game in the franchise) but his final battle with Link in Wind Waker is one of the most memorable as good and evil collide in a visually striking underwater arena. There's a series of great boss battles in Wind Waker (just like all Zelda games) which require Link to use his entire arsenal, making facing off against the big evil with just a sword and shield all the more interesting. This fight is all about dodging and waiting for an opportunity to strike Ganondorf while he's stunned by Zelda's arrows; making it interesting to see just how well Zelda's core gameplay works when everything is stripped back. Then comes the final moment where Link is flung into the air before coming straight back down and planting the Master Sword in Ganondorf's skull, turning him to stone and finishing the game once and for all. It's an unbelievably awesome moment and it makes any struggles during the game all the more worth it.
