20 Severely Underrated PS1 Games You Totally Missed

7. Blaster Master: Blasting Again

https://youtu.be/kXiWM2XwBiM The original Blaster Master game is considered a classic of the NES era. Yet, this 3D sequel came and went without much fanfare. Developed by Sunsoft, it€™s lack of notoriety is partly due to it being released in the west as a budget title. BM:BA, like the original, lets you play as the tank Sophia, or its human pilot Roddy. Sophia can hop over or onto obstacles and shoot from a third person perspective. Meanwhile, the human pilot gameplay is more of a top down shooter type game. Each offers varied challenges and skillfully combine platforming and shooter aspects. One very interesting aspect of the game is that the story of the game is a sequel to the Worlds of Power adaptation of the original Blaster Master game. BM:BA takes place over a decade after the first BM game. Jason and Eve (introduced in the book) have had children. However, both Jason and Eve have died, leaving their kids Roddy and Elfie to survive the hostile terrain. This game isn€™t on PS Store, but is extremely cheap used (and usually new, for that matter).
